🧾 Sales Tax

Because your cards are stored in our Delaware vault until you request shipment, you don't pay sales tax at the time of pack purchase.

Sales tax (if applicable) is only calculated when you request shipping, based on your delivery address and local tax laws.

When tax applies​

  • Pack purchase: no sales tax collected — title and possession remain with the vault custodian.
  • Buyback: no sales tax on the proceeds you receive from selling a card back to GalaxyGrails.io.
  • Shipping request: sales tax (if applicable) is calculated based on your delivery address at the time of shipment.

Your responsibility​

You are solely responsible for determining, calculating, and paying all applicable sales, use, income, or other tax obligations arising from your purchase, ownership, or use of items through the Platform, including any obligations imposed by your state, local, or other applicable jurisdiction. GalaxyGrails.io does not collect, calculate, remit, or advise on taxes of any kind, and nothing in our documentation should be construed as a representation regarding your individual tax obligations.

IRS reporting (Form 1099-K)​

Where required by law, GalaxyGrails.io may report payments made to you (including Buyback proceeds and withdrawals) to applicable tax authorities, including the IRS (e.g., via Form 1099-K). You agree to provide accurate tax identification information (including your taxpayer identification number) upon request. Failure to provide required information may result in withholding from your payouts in accordance with applicable law.
