🎴 Packs

A Pack is a card pull whose odds you see before you buy. A Pack never runs out: every purchase is opened from the same full set of cards, so the odds are the same for everyone buying that Pack. Every card a Pack can draw is a real PokΓ©mon card graded by PSA from the vault, and once you pull it, it is Secured by PSA Vault under your account.

A Pack is a price point with odds that don't change as people open it, so you can open as many as you like. Packs sit beside Breaks: a Break is a limited set of cards shared by everyone in the room, and a card that is pulled leaves the Break.

How a Pack works

  • Pick a price. Packs come in several price points. Right now they are $50, $100, $250 and $500, and the list can change. Each one shows its odds in the app before you buy, and those are the odds that apply to your Pack.
  • Instant reveal. You do not wait for anything to fill. Your card arrives in seconds.
  • See every card. Before you buy, you can browse the cards the Pack can draw.
  • One pull per purchase. Pay with points, your wallet balance or a saved card in the same purchase sheet Breaks use. See Buying a pull.
  • Watch it open on the stage. Every Pack pull plays for the whole room, the same as a Break pull, and is drawn by Chainlink VRF.
  • Sell it back. Buyback works on Pack cards the same way it does on Break cards. See Buyback.
  • Points. Opening a Pack earns points like opening a Break does.
  • Discounts and First Pack Covered. A signup discount comes off a Pack the same way it does a Break, and your first purchase, a Pack or a Break, can be covered. See First Pack Covered.

Odds

Each Pack shows its odds in the app before you buy, and those are the odds that apply to your pull. Odds can change from one version of a Pack to the next, so the app is always the place to read them. The odds are committed publicly before a Pack goes on sale, so they can't be changed once it is selling. See Pack fairness for how that is done and how to check it.

Both open on the stage for the whole room, are drawn by Chainlink VRF, and can be sold back. A Head-to-Head is a two-seat Break: you and one other buyer open together.

Choosing between them

The room's picker has a Packs | Breaks switch. Packs read "Same odds on every pull. Open as many as you like." and Breaks read "A limited set of cards, shared by everyone in the room."

Recent Pulls is one feed for both kinds, newest first. Each row carries the price and the kind, for example "$100 Pack" or "$250 Break".

Packs in a live show

Packs also sell inside a live streamer show (see Channels). While a streamer show is live, Packs are sold in that show's room, and everyone in the room watches your pull. When no streamer is live, Packs are in the Global room.

  • The host earns their normal channel commission on a Pack bought in their show, the same as on a Break. You pay the same price either way.
  • A Pack bought during a show's Double Points window earns the boost.
  • The host cannot buy Packs in their own show.

While a show is live, the Global room points to it with a button that takes you there.

Referrals

A Pack bought in the Global room earns the person who referred you a referral commission, the same as a Global Break. A Pack bought inside a streamer show does not, because the host earns their commission on that sale instead.

Fairness

Pack pulls are provably fair, and every Pack pull has its own proof page. See Pack fairness, and Break fairness for Breaks.
