GalaxyGrails.io offers tiered buyback rates: the percentage you receive is banded by the card's value, and higher-value cards receive a higher percentage. Card values are determined using the latest available data from CardLadder — a trusted source for collectible pricing.

The exact rate and dollar amount that apply to your card are always displayed before you confirm the sale. Buyback rates and tier bands may change at any time, so the figure shown in the app is always the authoritative one.

Buyback amounts are calculated to the cent.

⚡ How to sell a card back​

Buyback is available from two places, and both quote the same price:

  • Right after a pull — from the event screen or your Buyback Offers list.
  • Any time later — from your collection, for any card still held in your account.

Once you accept, the sale is final. Ownership of the card returns to GalaxyGrails.io and the proceeds are credited to your account immediately.

📊 Pricing & Market Data​

All buyback pricing is based on data from CardLadder. While CardLadder is a trusted and widely used source for collectible pricing, market values are estimates and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Prices may lag behind real-time market activity, differ from what a card would sell for on other marketplaces, or reflect data that is incomplete or delayed. GalaxyGrails.io does not independently verify CardLadder data and makes no warranty regarding its accuracy or completeness.

🔒 24-Hour Price Lock​

Immediately after a card is revealed, its buyback price is locked for 24 hours. During that window you can accept the buyback at the price shown at the moment of the pull — even if the market moves. After 24 hours, the buyback offer follows current market data and may go up or down.

The one exception is an obvious pricing error — a misplaced decimal or a bad data feed, for example. A price that's clearly wrong isn't locked, and we'll correct it. A price that's simply lower or higher than you hoped is not an error, and we won't take back a locked price just because the market moved against us. See Section 7 of the Terms of Service.

Where the proceeds go​

Funds from buybacks are credited immediately to your GalaxyGrails.io account and can be used to purchase more packs or withdrawn via Stripe. See Account Funds for details on the withdrawal process and the standard 3-calendar-day security hold that applies to new deposits (Buyback proceeds are not subject to that hold).
