💰 Buyback Program

Not thrilled with your pull? No problem. You can sell it back right away through our Buyback Program while its buyback offer is open.

GalaxyGrails.io offers tiered buyback rates: the percentage you receive is banded by the card's value, and higher-value cards receive a higher percentage. Card values are determined using the latest available data from CardLadder — a trusted source for collectible pricing.

The exact rate and dollar amount that apply to your card are always displayed before you confirm the sale. Buyback rates and tier bands may change at any time, so the figure shown in the app is always the authoritative one.

Buyback amounts are calculated to the cent.

⚡ How to sell a card back​

Every card you pull comes with a buyback offer, and the offer stays open for a limited number of days after the pull. The length of the window is shown in the app (at launch it is 7 days).

You can accept the offer from two places, and both quote the same price:

  • Right after a pull, from the event screen.
  • Any time before the offer ends, from your Buyback Offers page, which lists every open offer with what it pays and how long it has left.

Once you accept, the sale is final. Ownership of the card returns to GalaxyGrails.io and the proceeds are credited to your account immediately.

When the offer ends​

After the window closes, the card moves to the Ended offers section of your Buyback Offers page and can no longer be sold back. It is still yours: you can keep it in your account or move it to your PSA Vault account, as described on PSA Vault Transfers.

We may also email you a reminder before your open offers end.

📊 Pricing & Market Data​

All buyback pricing is based on data from CardLadder. While CardLadder is a trusted and widely used source for collectible pricing, market values are estimates and are not guaranteed to be accurate. Prices may lag behind real-time market activity, differ from what a card would sell for on other marketplaces, or reflect data that is incomplete or delayed. GalaxyGrails.io does not independently verify CardLadder data and makes no warranty regarding its accuracy or completeness.

🔒 Price Locked Until the Offer Ends​

The buyback price you see when a card is revealed is locked for as long as the offer lasts. Until the offer ends, you can accept it at the price shown at the moment of the pull, even if the market moves in either direction.

The lock belongs to the pull. If a card comes back to your account some other way, for example after a PSA Vault transfer is canceled, it keeps the offer end date it already had, so canceling a transfer never adds extra days. A returned card that had no offer window gets a new one, and its offer follows current market data instead of the original pull price.

The one exception is an obvious pricing error, such as a misplaced decimal or a bad data feed. A price that's clearly wrong isn't locked, and we'll correct it. A price that's simply lower or higher than you hoped is not an error, and we won't take back a locked price just because the market moved against us. See Section 7 of the Terms of Service.

🛡️ Your first pack​

If you qualify, your first pack, up to $100, is covered: sell the card back inside the offer window and you get back the full price you paid. The rules are on First Pack Covered.

Where the proceeds go​

Funds from buybacks are credited immediately to your GalaxyGrails.io account. They can be used to purchase more packs, and because buyback proceeds count as earnings, they can also be withdrawn via Stripe. See Account Funds for details on the withdrawal process and the standard 72-hour security hold that applies to new deposits (buyback proceeds are not subject to that hold).
