🤝 Referrals

The GalaxyGrails.io Referral Program pays you real account balance when friends you bring to the platform open packs. Share your link, your friend gets a discount on their first pack, and you earn a commission on their qualifying pack purchases, up to a per-friend cap.

⚡ TL;DR

  • Every account gets a unique referral code and referral link (https://galaxygrails.io/?ref=YOURCODE).
  • When someone signs up through your link, they're attributed to you — the link sets a cookie that lasts 7 days, and they can also enter your code by hand at registration.
  • Your friend gets a first pack discount: a one-time amount off their next pack, valid for 30 days. The current amount is shown on the Referrals dashboard.
  • You earn a commission on your friend's qualifying pack purchases in global events only — purchases on Channels do not earn commissions.
  • The commission rate, first pack discount, and per-friend cap can change at any time. Visit the Referrals dashboard to see your current values.
  • Commissions are pending for 7 days, then clear to confirmed and land in your withdrawable account balance. A pending commission is canceled if the purchase behind it is refunded or disputed; a later refund or dispute does not cancel a confirmed one.
  • Self-referrals don't count, and commissions are real cash balance, not points.

🎯 How It Works

Every account is issued a unique referral code and a matching referral link. You'll find both in your account under Referrals, along with a one-click copy button.

  • Your link looks like https://galaxygrails.io/?ref=YOURCODE.
  • When a new visitor opens your link, the ref code is captured and stored in their browser for 7 days.
  • If they create an account within that window — or paste your code into the referral code field during registration — they're attributed to you as a referred friend.

The first pack discount (for your friend)

When a referred friend completes signup, they get a first pack discount. This is a thank-you for joining through your link and goes to them, not to you. The current amount is shown on the Referrals dashboard.

  • It is a one-time amount off their next pack, not money in their wallet, and it comes off automatically at checkout.
  • It is used in full on that one pack. Any part larger than the pack price does not carry over.
  • It expires 30 days after signup. If the event is canceled and the pack is refunded, the discount comes back with its original expiry date.
  • It has no cash value and can't be withdrawn. See Account Funds for the details.
  • Friends who sign up through a referral link are not eligible for First Pack Covered.

Commissions (for you)

Once a friend is attributed to you, you earn a commission on their qualifying pack purchases:

  • Rate: Your commission is either a percentage of the purchase or a flat amount per pack. Your current rate is shown on the Referrals dashboard and can change at any time.
  • What it's calculated on: the pack price your friend pays, including any part they cover with points or balance. A first pack discount is not included, since that is a promotion GalaxyGrails.io pays for.
  • Where it applies: global events only. Purchases inside private events or on a Channel do not generate commissions.
  • Per-friend cap: Your current cap is shown on the Referrals dashboard and can change at any time. The cap counts pending and confirmed commissions together — once a friend hits it, their purchases stop generating commissions for you.
  • Lifetime, not first-purchase-only: every qualifying purchase your friend makes accrues commission until their cap is reached.

Pending → Confirmed

Each commission is created in a pending state and held for 7 days. After the hold window passes, it moves to confirmed and is added to your withdrawable account balance. Confirmed commissions count as earnings, so you can withdraw them under the normal Account Funds rules.

The hold gives refunds and disputes time to surface before money becomes spendable. While a commission is pending, it is canceled if:

  • the purchase behind it is refunded, for example because the event ended before your friend's pack was opened, or
  • your friend disputes a payment with their bank, or a payment of theirs is refunded as fraudulent.

Canceled commissions show as canceled on your dashboard. Once a commission is confirmed, a later refund or dispute on the purchase does not cancel it. Corrections for errors and forfeiture for policy violations are described under Things to Know below.

📊 Tracking Your Earnings

Your Referrals dashboard shows everything in one place:

  • Referred friends — everyone who signed up with your link or code, and when.
  • Confirmed earnings — commissions that have cleared the hold and are in your balance.
  • Pending earnings — commissions still inside the 7-day hold window.
  • Per-friend progress — how much each friend has earned you against the current cap.
  • Recent commissions — the latest individual commission events and their status.

📝 Things to Know

  • Real balance, not points. Referral commissions are credited as actual Account Funds, separate from the Points loyalty program. Confirmed commissions are withdrawable subject to the normal Account Funds and KYC rules. Your friend's first pack discount is not balance and can't be withdrawn.
  • No self-referrals. You can't refer yourself. An account can't use its own code, and referring yourself through another account is prohibited under the Terms of Service.
  • Global events only. Commissions are earned on qualifying pack purchases in global events. Other purchase types do not qualify.
  • Don't spam your link. Sharing your link with friends is encouraged, but posting referral links in platform chat or other community surfaces is not allowed under the Acceptable Use Policy. Share it off-platform — socials, group chats, your own audience.
  • Cancellations. Pending commissions are canceled when the purchase behind them is refunded or disputed, as described above. Commissions credited in error or in the wrong amount may be corrected, and earnings can be forfeited if an account is suspended or terminated for a policy violation.
  • Pausing. If referrals are paused on your account, your past activity stays visible but new signups won't earn commissions until referrals are re-enabled.
  • Subject to change. The commission rate, first pack discount, and per-friend cap can change at any time. Visit the Referrals dashboard to see your current rate and cap.
