Account Management
We’re sorry to see you go! This guide explains how to permanently close your GalaxyGrails.io account.
Before You Close Your Account
To ensure a smooth closure process, please complete the following steps first:
- Complete Pending Transfers: If you’ve requested any vault transfers, please wait until those transfers are fully processed.
- Clear Pending Withdrawals: Any withdrawal still in flight must settle before your account can be closed.
- Withdraw Your Account Balance: Make sure your GalaxyGrails.io account balance has been fully withdrawn via Stripe.
- Manage Your Collection: All cards in your vault must be either transferred to your PSA Vault account or sold through the Galaxy Grails Buyback Program.
Your account must have a zero balance, no cards remaining in storage, and no in-flight transfers or withdrawals before closure.
Requesting Account Closure
Once the steps above are complete:
- Compose an Email: Send a message from the same email address linked to your GalaxyGrails.io account.
- Send to Support: Address your request to [email protected] with the subject line “Account Closure Request.”
You can also reach us through the in-app support form. Either way, contacting us from your account email lets us verify your identity and securely process the request.
Acting on behalf of an account holder who has died? Email us with the subject line “Deceased Account Holder.” The balance and any cards in the vault belong to the estate, and we’ll tell you what we need — see Section 22 of the Terms of Service.
What Happens to Your Data
An authorized GalaxyGrails.io administrator processes the closure. We remove or scramble the identifying information attached to your account — your name, email address, username, password, profile picture, referral code, and identity-verification session reference — revoke all active sessions, and mark the account as closed.
Some records are kept, because we are legally required to keep them:
- Financial records — deposits, withdrawals, buybacks, refunds, disputes, and balance ledger entries (tax, AML, and payment-processor obligations).
- Event participation — your pull and event history, which remains part of the public fairness record for those events.
- Vault transfer records and chat moderation logs.
- Chat messages you posted. The message text itself is retained, but your username is removed from it.
Retained records keep a stable internal identifier so they can still be reconciled, but the personally-identifying fields are scrubbed. Identity-verification documents (your ID and selfie) are held by Stripe Identity rather than by us — to request their deletion, contact Stripe directly at [email protected].
For the full detail, see the Privacy Policy.
